Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi!

So I have heard a little bit about "sharpening" your photos in post processing but not enough to actually understand it. I have a couple of photoshop actions that are "Sharpening For Web", "Sharpening for Print", "Base Sharpen", and "Sharpen Details". I don't really know the difference and can't seem to see what the action actually does when I apply it. Do I need to sharpen my images? For web? For print? Thanks!

find a copy of "Image Sharpening " by Bruce Fraser. Mine is for Photoshop CS2, but it doesn't make any difference with regard to when to sharpen and why.

Well do you need to sharpen your images? Its up to you... What looks better?

I can't seem to see a difference on the screen!

Intensity are selected according to need her image

For example
Images of children do not always need a high volume

On the contrary, with pictures of older men, they always need a large unit to highlight the details

So I see that you leave all its forms and addressed as needed for image

Sharpening is just one side of a coin.
The other side is noise reduction.

As suggested, sharpening is a fairly complex subject, and virtually all digital photos need some amount of it.

In general photos destined for printing can be sharpened more than photos for web use.

There are several sharpening techniques and software applications and I too recommend the book:
Real World Image Sharpening with Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Lightroom (2nd Edition)

You might start with this online tutorial: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/sharpness.htm and all the tutorials at that web site.
