Nice pic but you need a new LED honey that lasts a long time, like mine! Plus, she knows how to get the heart pounding!

Unfortunately, as a former EMT, I've seen too many of their riders with limbs at rather unique angles, none of which didn't hurt.

You get that with car accidents also but think of all the fun you're missing out on. Personally, I can't live in a protective bubble.

Two weeks ago a friend and fellow FF died instantly in a crash on his motorcycle. He wasn't driving fast, and was wearing a helmet. Had he been in a vehicle it was highly likely he would have survived the crash with only minor injuries at most.

Sorry about your loss, smoke665, that's very tragic. Being a biker I know all too well how dangerous bikes are with biker friends that have either been injured or died while riding them.

Over a three year period, I only pulled one guy out of a car that was DOA...one who was wearing a seat belt (harnesses were just coming into being then and it's not to say some of them didn't die of their injuries). I can only think of one nasty bike crash where the rider walked away and only because he was wearing full leathers and was a CC racer and knew how to take a dump. It was always a chance I was never willing to take but understand how you feel.

In my early years I raced motocross, had one of the first Kawasaki 250 Green Streaks, followed that with street bikes, Honda and a Harley, before life (and responsibilities) caught up with me. A few years ago I thought I wanted another street bike, till one Sunday morning I got the call out on a motorcycle incident. Got on the scene to find a man who just happened to be my exact age, that had dumped it, and then slid a good 100+ feet down the blacktop, leaving a steak of skin on the highway. It brought back a few road rash memories (none as bad as his), but it killed the desire to ride another street bike. I still have an ATV and enjoy riding the trails, but at a leisurely pace, and nowhere near asphalt!!

Guys, guys. I simply made a statement about an LED bulb on my bike. Let's not get carried away.

Killjoy :-)
