Shot a test video with my Sony A33. ~Continuous AF~

Mods, wasn't sure where to post this.

Anyway, I wanted to see how the AF worked with this thing. Skip to 1:24 to really see what it can do.

You can see that the AF is fast and accurate. To me it's impressive. People will mention the AF noise but I think it's a moot point because it's no louder than the zoom noise.

How many DSLR's offer phase detect video AF? I'm thinking I might sell my Vixia and just use this thing for video full time. With an external mic of course.

AF is nice, quick but yeah the noise is spoiling it, same problem with my D3100, maybe louder than yours I think.

I watched a test video of a D3100 auto focusing and it seemed to "search" more so there was more noise.

I want to get an external mic mounted off the body just see if it goes away. I think a lot of it is because the sound of the lens is transferring right through the body.
