I like 1 & 7 alot, though I'd be tempted to crop the tree from 1.

5 would've been good with narrow dof and shot closer and portrait orientation. Looks like it was a spontaneous grab, though, so enough of my armchair quarterbacking.

I think #4 is really nice.

I like 1,2,4,and 7....all those have a nice vibe to 'em.

1 and 7....

Is that real camera movement blur or was it done in post? It's not 'easy on the eyes' (in a literal sense) but it looks pretty cool

Number 1 has motion blur.
Number 2 is cut off and as contemporary as you want it to look, it doesn't.
Number 3 is underexposed and RED.
Number 4 has potential. A tilt shift lens would have been better but this one isn't bad.
Number 5, the composition is good but the dogs head and face are out of focus.
Number 6, out of focus.
Number 7 , a motion blur attempt at contemporary
Number 8, everything is out of focus.
Number 9, subject is out of focus and/or motion blurred, everything else is in focus. Not enough light to support depth of field you were going for. Result : Shutter too slow with said aperture.

Nahhh

#1 has intentional motion blur.
#2 looks pretty cool I think, it's definitely not a trash-binner.. I might crop it closer if it were mine.

^ I pretty much agree with the rest, but I wasn't sure if #9 was lack of focus or motion blur from the bike moving. If it's motion blur I think more or none at all would have worked better, maybe just a 'something to keep in mind for next time'

I want to go out and try taking street shots after seeing these though..

1 and 7 are appealing, although I agree about the tree in 1. 7 somehow has a better feel to it, but I'm not sure why. 9 is a really nice street shot - better I think with the obvious motion from the bicycle. The others don't do that much for me. I like the idea of 2, but something just seems off - maybe too much foreground and/or too little detail in the background?

Thanks everyone. I really do appreciate the comments/criticisms and for the most part LightSpeed was right -- just not the parts where he's telling me what I was trying to do. Oh, and yes, the motion blur was indeed intentional and done in the filed, not in post. Thanks everyone!

Yay! Always very excited to see your pics when you post =) LOVE #7! #1, #4 and #9 I really like. I can't wait (and hope) to one day get to this level of photography! =D
