Stop using flash and experiment with natural light. Start with getting the Sun behind your subject and go from there.

Pretty much agree with all comments above. Had to add about the composition... not ONE of the photos above have her entire body.

Title should have been, "Shot my sister and chopped off her body parts today C&C."

All jokes aside, cute kid and great skin. You have a great model, just keep shooting!

I like #5 the best. when shooting portraits, it can be nice to have them not looking straight into the camera also. I really want to like #3 but I feel she is to far to the left of the photo.

Thanks guys for all the tips. I will try to position her with her back against the sun but it was pretty cloudy that day. I might get her to do another session this weekend. I'll take what you guys say and try to apply it. Anything I should do or look out for when I go out this weekend?
