Shots from the Weekend

Well i spent the weekend up north hunting (taking pictues ). these are some of the shots i've worked on so far. let me know what you think. i have been going photoshop crazy lately but not much was done besides the vig on all three.

1. My puppy. Taken just before i left.

2. Some old batteries. Probably been sitting in this spot for 25+ years.

3. The blind i sat in for the day. I used to enjoy it more but this year it was terribly boring. :meh:

C&C per request:

1. Beautiful. Eyes are nice and sharp, which is important for portraits. You seem to be at or close to eye level with the dog, which allows a connection between it and the viewer. Great background too. Vignetting works. Negative: I would have framed the eyes in the upper third of the image. As it is you have a lot of head space there. Try cropping off the top to a 5:4 ratio.

2. Eh, it's sharp, but not too interesting. Maybe approach it from a different angle. Lose the vignetting for this one.

3. Yikes, terribly over-sharpened. Hopefully this was done in Photoshop and not in-camera, that way you can go back and re-do it. No vignetting for this one either.
