Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 dc os hsm, is the filter thread 72mm or 62mm ??

I just seem to be getting contradicting information can somebody clear this up.

Sigma specification 62mm directly from sigma. 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC (OS)* MACRO HSM | Sigma

Yeah, i saw that on the Sigma Website, so is the lens in the review below a different lens as i plainly has 72mm written on it.

Is there an Macro and an non Macro Version?

It looks to me like there is two different version the macro version has an 62mm filter thread and the non-macro has an 72mm filter thread.

I have a spare 72mm filter, but not an 62mm, i think i have ordered the non-macro version.

Can anybody confirm this.

The macro version (2012) is the updated version of the non-macro version(2010).

"The 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM is the latest in a long line of all-in-one 'superzoom' lenses from Sigma, having been announced in June 2012. It offers two main developments over its predecessor, the confusingly similarly-named 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM - namely improved close-up capability (hence the 'Macro' moniker), and a significant reduction in size and weight. Sigma says the latter is due to the use of a 'Thermally Stable Composite' (TSC) material in the construction of the lens barrel, which makes it almost identical in size to its main rival - the Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD."

Thanks for the Info, i received the 18-250 this morning it was the macro 62mm filter thread version.
