Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM

Anyone got this lense? Or the macro HSM II version?

If so i've got a few queries:

- How noisy is the focusing?
- How well does it cope with low light situations, focusing?
- How is the sharpness?

A bit about me and what im using it for:

- Proffesional photographer
- Primarily Weddings
- Will be put on a canon 5d
- Its this or the canon 70-200mm is, the canon is just stupidy expensive... (the mark ii).

Would be nice if someone could shed some light on this lens.

(i know theres loads of reviews out there, but generally there from people who have used it for an hour or so. I want to know how it is as a proffesional tool day in day out..)

Cheers!

i just purchase the Macro II HSM non OS version for a Nikon mount yesterday.

I am very much an amateur but was extremely impressed with it's low light ability in my office and at home in the evening with the kids. I thought it's autofocus was as fast as my kit lens and the ability to shoot with out a flash the entire focal length from 70-200 was fantastic.

Couldn't be happier and felt it was doing as well as my 50mm f1.8.

Again I am a recreational amateur so take it all with a grain of salt.

I would rather get a used Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 VR

I have had the OS version for canon for about a week now.I ,have done a few outdoor portraits and shot a 3 day high school hockey tounement.
What I can say so far is it`s sharp .focus is fast and nearly silent,OS works very well.
Maybe I was just lucky and got a good copy but so far it`s great.
I have only used it at f2.8 to f4 so maybe I will find fault at smaller f stops.
So far I have no regrets and since it`s $1000 less than the original brand I think it`s a good deal.
Hope this helps .
