Tough conditions, Looks like a nice feature, I'd have brought the highlights down on this one or maybe bracketed the shot and blended it in post. I've shot waterfalls exclusively for the last 3 or 4 weeks on every occasion. I love this season!

I don’t know how to blend
My post processing consists of crop and maybe brighten. Add my initials and save as a tif. I was standing precariously on a cliff while taking this.

What program do you edit with? If you shoot raw, open it in your editor and slide the highlights down and shadows up until you like it. You can do this with the jpg too but raw will have more info to work with. Beautiful location.

I just started shooting with RAW and use the Sony converter to make a tif. Then I use paint.net. I’m on a trip but will try your suggestion when I get home. Thanks

Nice. If you have the raw file of this picture, move the highlights and shadows sliders around. You will be amazed at how much detail is recorded but not delivered in the JPG. The first time I pulled the highlights slider down and saw detail come out of what I thought was blown out highlights, I decided then and there to always shoot raw.
