This look more like a Sabattier Effect / Solorization that IR did you use the invert comment in PS to do this

The Sabattier effect results when a photosensitive material is exposed to light during development, causing a partial reversal of the image. It works best with film because images on paper tend to become muddy.

On the PS I remove the color and then solarize the image

I just tried this in PS Element, it did an auto solarize, is there away to adjust the intensity
