This is the southern Spring Mountain Range, west of Las Vegas, Nevada.

On this day, it was 50f at the base, and in the 20'sf on the mountains with the wind blowing a chill factor of about 10 degrees colder..

Today, which is just a couple of weeks later than this shot, it is in the 70's at the base but still in the low 40's on the mountain tops... (peak day time temperatures)
