Yes I really did shoot the dog. :thumbs:


It was an overcast day with light drizzle. Fired one speedlight (Nikon SB700) from the left hand side, through a translucent umbrella.

Nice set! 1 and 3 are quite pleasing, but the background on 2 is very busy and distracting. A different composition would have made it a lot stronger IMO.

I personally like #3 the best, but I think you're losing way too much detail on the right side of the dog's face with the way you have your lighting set up.

Your dog is beautiful, though. Aussie mix?
