Some Feedback pls

Hey!!

Newbie here.. still trying to learn the ropes - i am posting a few of my pics. Could you please let me know how good/bad they are and what all i need to improve upon? Was mainly concentrating on aperture shooting. All the pics taken with a Sony H5 btw.

the only problem I see is 2 has motion blur it seems...and the rest are a little flat. (contrast/saturation wise). Otherwise...you're doin well so far.

6 is a kind of boring subject...if it was closer, you might have something.

Your shooting would benefit from the rule of thirds I'd say.

yes, i was also wondering about that 'Flat' bit in the pics... so how do I improve that - while taking the pics? I am just using a trial and error to see how the pics come out.. any hard rules/ rule(s) of thumb to be followed?
and also while post processing? though I think thats not a very good thing in a good photo - if you know what i mean
