Some new, some familiar

[TheNevadanStig]

Went down to the marina for about an hour today. Spotted a new bird to me. Didn't know what it was, so I googled "black bird with yellow head". Low and behold it's a yellow headed black bird  Very striking bird, wish I could have got him out from under the bush into the sun.

And of course I had to chase my herons around!

One of them was successful today! He ended up losing it in the rocks though:

I had a similar experience in Saskatchewan. Only I asked a local, Hey, what's that black bird with the yellow head?
2nd heron is my pick of this group.
