A video crew shot part of an episode of 'Saddle Up' with Dennis Brouse at a national historical blacksmith shop in central Iowa. The shop closed in 1940 with the death of the owner and has remaind unchanged since.

I photographed the crew as they set up the shoot.

This image shows the Videographer (camera left), the Lighting Technician and the Assistant Production Manager as they discuss lighting the interior of the blacksmith shop for a shot that will have the video camera outside the shop entrance on a boom.
I took advantage of their lights and did not have to use my speedlights to light the scene. The lighting tech is pointing to one of their lights just visible in the upper left corner of the image.

Thank you for the comment. Glad you liked the image and story.

The correct credit for the people in this photograph are, from left to right:
Director of Photography, Camera, Producer.

You only need to ask next time! (And not the local bystanders but the people you are taking photos of.)

Nice shot though ;)

Since when does a lighting tech becomes a camera?

This is a cameraman I work with a lot. And yes, he is a REAL cameraman!
All know lighting, of course, and if it's a small crew such as this, they will set up their own lighting.
