could you explain why you took these? what was the assignment? i dont really like the composition of any of them. mostly due to the subject of the photos

thats cool, lol these are some of my favorites.

there is no assignment, besides the shoot atleast two rolls a week. in my street photography i just look for compositions that i feel are interesting to look at.
i look for a lot of lines, i enjoy reflections, and text.

1 in the first i enjoy how its broken into three, the trsh can, the door, and the wood pile. it has alot of verticle lines in the back, with the trees at the left repeating across the frame with the pilliars. i also like how the text repeats in the reflection of the puddle.

2 i love all the telephone lines that break up the negative space in the sky. the different shapes the crossing of the lines makes i find very interesting. the pipes on the wall lead your eye upwards. and the view down the alley gives more of a perspective to the surroundings, making the overall scene less flat.

3 nothing really special here, i thought the writing in the window looked cool.

4 i like the relationship between the manaquin (sp?) and the photographer (me). i also enjoy the effect of the reflection. if you take your eye off the two people. you can see the reflection of the street behind. and it keeps my eye moving looking for the little details.

5 and 6 just back to the line and reflections that i like to look at.

I really like the the third one, and i dont mind the reflection one either. i dont see alot of street photographers playing around with the concept of their reflections. Mabye you have already have but you should play around with how your presence affects the photograph being taken (in a street photo context). mabyyyee I could be just rambling here..
