It looks like a bad scan, a little too saturated. I'm guessing this was shot in lane 1-2 of the pool?

Which image ... #3 above was in a middle lane and the new one was also a middle lane. The swimming snaps were my first attempt at digital photography/digital process and between the 20D sensor and me being low on the learning curve, there is much to be desired.

The swim pic must have been pretty big crop unless you were shooting with a lens longer than 300mm to have it that tight in lane 4-5, assuming it was an 8-9 lane pool.
