This afternoon the kids and I visited Fort Pickens on Pensacola Beach. I live here, but have never been. wow. it was really neat.
So my usual photos are of kids/maternity/couples..... but I took some other pictures today out of my comfort zone.

We were there a tad late, so the sun was setting but it was perfect!

1. you can't really tell in the picture but there is a pelican sitting on the chimney in this photo.

These are fun! I like #4 the best, a killer shot and composition

#3 would be great with either a little more black or nearly none.

Thanks! You can't tell but in 3 that is a super HUGE canon on the top wall of the fort, those other little dots beside it are people, just so you can see how friggen huge it was! and the black dot in the sky is a helicopter.. I know these are insignif because you can't really see them, but I'm thinking they make the picture special for me.
and the 4th one, thanks to a fellow TPF'er for advicing me on cropping this one down!

Until you mentioned it was a canon on number 3, it looked like a giant was bent over talking to little people. I also love #5, I have tried that with a lighthouse by the museum of technolgy where I live but keep messing up the shot and it always comes out off center.
