It also describes this series. For an evening project I played around with my two speedlights and the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers: the table centerpiece.

For fun, I experimented with a blue gel on one of the lights

I accidentally learned something most of you likely learned long ago: using colored light brings a whole new world to B&W conversion!

The lighting in #2 is the best of the bunch.

Unless you are shooting only dead flowers, get rid of any dead flowers in the composition.

And remember - It's "Black and White" not "Black and Gray"
