personally i would try to crop out as much of the bright white bath as possible. Or maybe darken it so its greyer. It seems to catch my eye and bothers me.

Then again im a total noob and if i were u id take anything i said with a pinch of salt lol

These are quite hard not to look like your standard family photo album shot.
And I would place this shot there
Not that it's anything wrong with it.

In many cases works better when you get closer to find some nice facial expresions.
If you don't see exacly what the child is doing usually don't matter.

And if you would like to spice up this shot one could work a bit with the levels to get more tones out of it.
Did a little quick edit where I have croped to a square format.
And ajusted the tones a bit.

I also played with the image a little with no cropping. Great
shot for the family scrapbook.

I didn't play with the tones a lot because the scene didn't have a lot of contrast to begin with. My son has very light skin and very blond hair and is taking a bubble bath in a white tub lol. I have noticed that a lot of people like high contrast B+W's on here, but I don't feel that should be forced on images with little contrast. Also, I wanted to keep this photo pretty high-key.

I do enjoy the edits though, even if BKS turned my boy Latino.
