Thanks. I have been wanting this shot at sunset for a while but I never seem to have my tripod with me when I'm in this area.

Like astrophotography, it's addictive. I have a bucket list now of car trails shots I have to get.

Thanks. I did use a GND in LR to brighten the sky without totally blowing out the light trails. The timing of the lights was the biggest issue. The CITGO sign gets very bright and blinks then reloads slowly. I needed to start shooting during the reload so it wasn't totally blown out but it was a Saturday afternoon and the traffic was light so I also had to wait for a big enough group of cars to be passing in all lanes in both directions. At some point I may composite the shot with the best light trails (no breaks and no lane changers!) with the best exposure on the sign.
