This door was hung in the doorway of the church of St Andrew, Sempringham, Lincolnshire, about 1250AD. It is still there today, battered but not broken, continuing to give useful service, a testament to the skill of its makers.

I am not too fond of the composition but very font of the subject. I live in the newest part of the world as far as human time line goes and would be lucky to find anyting 100 years old that is still around. Try this with another angle, the texture of the wood with all the metal work in just awesome!

yup i like it, nice find.. they certainly don't make them like they used to. I'd agree with either you need more surrounding the door or perhaps a 'detail' shot (or 3) for a more interesting composition.
