Well I often consider major photography equipment purchases to be a very personal decision, weather its a tripod or a lens, what works for you might not be so great for me. These purchases also tend to be quite expensive compared to what I usually buy people, so I thought we could make a list of stocking suffers that most photographers can enjoy.

Lets keep the price under about $50, cheaper is good too.

Rocket Blower.

Holga.

Extension tubes.

You'll also need something to wash it down with. You ought to be able to fit a few beers in there. Just make sure that one is kept in the fridge instead of hanging in front of the fireplace.

Some other good ones:

Film

..OK, that's the only other one I can think of.

OPTech camera strap - far far far far far better than those generic ones that come with canon or nikon cameras!

Raynox DCR 250 / DCR 150 - cheap but good quality macro filters - because everyone needs to play with macro at some time in their life :)

Terry Pratchett - ok he might be a bit more, but you can throw in a few good Diskworld books for some humour whilst waiting for the light (landscapers); wildlife; client; significant other ;)
