I hope that photo was taken in WV. I grew up in Southern WV right in the Appalachian Mountains. I now live in Knoxville, TN near the Great Smoky Mountains. There is something about the mountains. Nice shot.

Yes Scott - it was at Dolly Sods, a wilderness area located in Monongahela National Forest. The whole Appalachian Mountain range is beautiful. I grew up on the east coast of Virginia but have always loved the mountains. I'm now retired and living in northern West Virginia.

Most definitely some cool looking clouds! I'm listening to Pink Floyds, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (long version) and it really sets the tone for looking at pics. You should try it some time if you haven't.

I never got a chance to see Pink Floyd in concert but because of that I did go to see Australian Pink Floyd recently and I'm glad I did. Granted, no one can sound just like Pink Floyd but they were about as close as anyone could get, very accurate with their reproduction. If you never saw Pink Floyd you should see those guys, they're worth the time, they're very professional musicians.

2. Saw Pink Floyd in Syracuse, NY. Can’t remember the year but it was early October. Remember that because it snowed. Might have been the last year they toured?
