I like the idea.

I think you used your Sigma 10-20 lens for that.
I don't know if it's the lens or me, but her face looks stretched, so does all the upper section of the picture...

It looks odd, I would have used a little more DOF as well, the background is distracting.

Apart from the other comments, i'd like to add that the picture is too dark to me.
Especially : one person in the background is brighter than the subject. As a result, my eye "doesn't know" if it has to look at the woman, or at the... um... :D
I would also have made the middle ground less dark (between the drawer and the portraited)
