Lovin the first and the second shots!!! Nice set.....=)

I really like 1,2,6
these are great!

Love your photos!

Very well done! All taken indoors? What light helped you here?

All shot indoors with some avaliable light though a few windows.

Well, must have been the amount and size of windows indoor pools usually have, as you apparently had enough light for relatively short shutter speeds. Does your camera take high ISO pics without too much noise? My simple, small one is no good at 800, let alone the maximum 1600, but if you can go up to 6400, for example, then 1600 should still give you practically noisefree pics. And as you seem to be taking these kinds of photos professionally, I assume your gear is adequate for the job!? Good.

I like these!

Do you take one photo per frame or do you use the "burst" or whatever it is called and choose the best from the series of ... 3? ... 5? and take it?

The lights they installed in this new pool were unusual, they alternated between white and yellow, so there were diferent colour casts on the water, there were 5x8 foot windows 20' up along one side, and a big glass section on the side at one end with a door. Late in the day the sun was across 2 lanes. It was such a mix, but fun to work with and around. Most of what I shot was at 1600iso, 500-640 shutter speeds, f 2.8. The head shots were somewhere around 800-1000iso and 125-320th, 2.8-6.3.

As far as shooting, depends on the stroke, but generally 2-4 shots per stroke, and delete the ones that don't work, either too early or too late, I always edit when the swimmers are moving away, don't need to be spending all that time after on the computer, typically I shoot 500 frames in a morning session, more swimmers to shoot during the heats, 350 during finals I'll keep around 650-700 on the final edit. I ended up with action and head shots of 160 swimmers, I only shoot national and developmental team swimmers. There were 600 swimmers at this meet, pretty small one.

Really good shootin'!. I especially like the beauty captured in #2. The first photo is nice, but at web size, is not reading as well as it probably would if seen bigger and a hair brighter. Maybe it's my monitor.

I really love all of these shots. Maybe it's just my monitor, but 3 and 4 seem about a stop underexposed to my eye

My laptop has a really bright screen, i've had a few people asking why some of the images are dark. When I look at them on my desktop they are darker, it's a challenge when I'm printing them, almost have to go too bright to get them right.

Gotcha. I know how that goes, my laptop's screen is too dark so I have the opposite problem most of the time. I haven't tried printing photos on location yet though, just take pre-orders.
