In my single-mindedness to get a shot of the volcano I almost neglected to take this shot and walk beyond the structure. Originally I was cursing the the object in my mind for being in the way....

...never leave your hotel in the morning insufficiently caffeinated.

The roof shapes copy the mountain slopes so perfectly, all of a sudden it becomes clear where all this architecture comes from.
