sunset for c&c

I got lucky to be in a position to get this shot. How'd I do comp and exposure-wise?

I bumped up the ISO to 200, used manual mode, set to F5.0 and adjusted shutter speed to 1/30. This was hand held (no time for a tripod) and processed with Topaz adjust and denoise. I never seem to get decent sunset shots so any advice will be appreciated!

Compisition and exposure-wise, I think you did pretty good. The foreground silhouettes aren't that interesting and I wish it wasn't so hazy but that might just be the environment.

Thanks! It was overcast in the morning, then hazy and flat all day until this sunset showed up.

It's too dark. I think it would be prettier if you brought up the curves.

I don’t want to be negative but the shot doesn’t do it for me, it’s too dark and dull.
Saved your shot and tried to boost it up a bit in PS but didn’t really worked out.

Like the silhouette of the mountains though…

Advice is to use a tripod but you mentioned it yourself already..

good color, but like others mentioned still too dark. Also the foreground silhouette doesnt do it for me, needs to be stronger impact wise to carry the shot when your dont oohing and ahhing over the sky
