I live in an extremely industrial city. We have one of the biggest export harbours in the country (Coal, Aluminium and LNG). We have three LNG plants (still in construction), one of the country's largest Power stations, two Alumina refineries, an Aluminium Smelter, Cement plant and other smaller chemical production plants in town. Needless to say this town is not very picturesque.
I was meeting with a friend at our vantage point to take some photos of some fireworks. Whilst waiting I took this shot of the main street of the city. This is an angle very, very few people would ever really see the city at. It surprised me the colours and the layers of the building going up the hill. And in the far distance you can see one of the LNG plants looming over the top. It is actually a lot further away than this photo makes it look.
