Swallowtail Butterfly

[RowdyRay]

Found several varieties this year. Most were beat up. This one is missing a tail, but the best I've seen. Chased it all over to get a few good shots. The one an hour earlier looked like it had been through a hurricane. Not kidding.

Beautiful shots. I saw my first one this year today but didn't get a chance to get a shot.

Great shots, really love the first one!

Very good images.....

I've got some on a roll of Fujifilm 400H but haven't developed it yet. yellow and brown. Nice set. Personally, I don't mind if they are beat up, adds to their character.

Thank you. Would love to see yours.

A little beat up, yeah. This was the worst I've ever seen. Should have taken a shot of it. There was no blue left. That was in tatters. And the outer wings were ragged. Have no idea how it was still flying. It was.

Really nice. Looks like you had a bumper crop of thistles too!

[RowdyRay]

Yes, lots of thistles this year. Or maybe I've noticed them more because of all the insects they attract.
