The subject is interesting by the editing has, in my opinion, really hurt this picture.
There are no middle tones or lower tones.
It look way oversharpened.
Could you post the original or a link to it for comparison?

The difficulty in shooting in harsh light is that it magnifies contrast.
In this image there is tremendous amounts of color contrast that is maginified visually by relatively harsh light and great dynamic range.
Additionally, people of the Indian sub-continent are dark complected and thus their faces fall into the shadow range of exposure which hurts detail and, if edited, increases noise.
I suggest you be careful in choosing content to keep the dynamic range narrower. That means leaving out very bright area, if there are shadows and people in those shadows.
Shoot raw so that dynamic range in the captured frame is higher
Expose so that the people's faces are well-exposed.
