Tamron 150-600mm Lens

The Tamron is still f/6.3 @600mm. It's f/5 - f/6.3 lens
The D3300 likes f/5.6 or better. Not that it won't work, you'll see better performance on better bodies in not prime light.

I've ordered a D7100 which arrives on the 28th

No not yet..I literally got it like 4 hours ago and I'm currently off work with a chest infection so wont really get a decent chance to try it until this weekend. I just happened to notice the sparrows from my bedroom window so thought I would give it a go.

So tried out the Tamron 150-600 lens on my new Nikon D7100 body this weeked, not amazing lighting conditions, but I made do!

D7100 is great, love the bigger view finder and the focusing points are easier to see! Unfortunately the camera body I bought came with a half charged battery and no charger! so didn't get long to try it out over the weekend.
