That first image is my favorite of yours so far. It's really great! I think it could perhaps be a little bit warmer in temperature, but that's just my preference.

Not liking this wide aspect ratio with tight framing and all the empty space. The floating head aspect of the top one is not good..she's just a head, shown on a bit of skinny neck. Not going to pull punches: these don't work well and the compositions are ungainly as hell.

I loved the bokeh of the first one, but the cut on the neck really appears that she lost her head. The second photo have a great sharpness, but her look is a bit lost.

I like the lighting as it is spot on (pic 2). I also like the creamy background (pic 1, also 2). What kind of lens did you use to achieve these?

On the other hand, I agree with Derrel about the composition. I like the ample dead space in the photos if it makes them look more artistic. But it does not work in your images.

....my badly composed pics were shot with an 85 mm nikon and 85 mm petzval....and I like dead space the useful and the useless kinds

I was guessing you may have used 85mm lens.

Even though I do not like the dead space arrangement in this case, I encourage you to stick to what you like/believe in...

I think the number of views and lack of replies speaks to how the general TPF viewership felt about these images...when I posted, there were two replies and 140 views. Normally, people fall all over your images with accolades and heap praise on your posts; these have received the exact opposite.

I'm not afraid to tell the Emperor he has no clothes. Somebody's got to do it. Not every shot is a masterpiece.

hehe I am far from being the emperor....and I found it refreshing to see criticism rather than praise...not insulted in anyway
