TC-80N3 and compatibility with 600D?

Hey all, I just got an intravolometer for Christmas.

It is a cannon TC-80N3, and looks to be pretty freakin nice to say the least.

However, I noticed to control input on my T3i looks to be like a normal audio headset jack, and then plug in for the controller is a bigger, almost square looking jack.

I wouldn't imagine these two devices to be un-compatable, considering they're made by the same company..

I really don't want to take this back, so any help would be much appreciated
