Tea Party in KC

Having grown up a liberal democrat and been to several left-wing rallies & protests & actions, I was really interested to go to a "right wing" rally (which it really wasn't - right-wing, that is... it was a rally ).

Flags, flags, and... a zz top cover band. So american.

I'm not typically a flag-waving patriot but all the flags did stir a little bit of sentimentality in me.

This isn't a stellar shot, but I loved the mix of guys standing in the same spot - suit, t-shirt, ponytail, teenager...

And lest you think this was a crowd full of men, you're wrong - there were a LOT of women there, many of whom could have been my grandmother!
