It kinda looks homemade (not meant as an insult. It just doesn't have powder-coated finish, etc that most retail pieces have. It's actually more of a compliment. Most manufactured products these days aren't built to last, but to sell.). Have you tried contacting the people that posted the shots?
They'd probably be glad to share, especially if they did build it. A bit of ego stroking goes a long way when dealing with proud inventors and artists.
If they bought it, they can point you in the right direction.

Yeah, that's gotta be 'jimmy rigged' (did I spell that right?)
I recognize one pice...not sure that it's called exactly as Ive never used one except to hold on a piece of white board (which isn't what it's used for)...lets just call it an arm.
I can't tell what the camera is on....looks like a pool stick to me! Which the arm would hold I think.
I have no idea how theyre getting it onot a car without hurting it either.
a boom might help. homemade though. it seems like you'll have to build it.

Suction cups and vacuum lifters. Used in automated manufacturing and construction for lifting giant windows and stuff. You can get hand operated ones that have a handle pump of some sort. You see them occasionally in movies with some burglar/spy climbing up a skyscraper.
