V - Variety of birds. Got rid of flock of sparrows owning my feeder! Switched to safflower seeds which sparrows and squirrels hate. Cardinals, Tufted Titmice, house finches, chickadees eat it. Up top I put a few sunflower kernels each day to keep a few bluebirds, nuthatches, and goldfinches coming around.

Abbot's Sphinx Moth Caterpillar. And ... that's not its head, that's its tail, that is not a cyclops eye, it's a clever mimicry of nature. And that is not even a real reflection in its 'eye', it is in fact a furtherance of the mimicry. The tail looks like a snake's head. This little creature is even able to 'hiss' like a snake through tiny ports on the underside between the legs.
