The Best Way To Order Sequence Shots?

So I have a series of shots from my snowboarding outing that I would like to put in sequence and make pretty cool. In Adobe CS4, I did the most basic thing which was line the shots next to each other and show progression but I don't like it. Any suggestions, maybe a slideshow effect that is pretty cool? The particular shots I'm working with are a rail ride on a log that begin on one side of the log and end with the person jumping off and landing, only five shots long. Oh and that's another thing, does anyone know if the Nikon 3000 is capable of more than five continuous shots? Seems like it's only shooting five when I hold it down?
