The boundries of nude photography....

I know this is supposed to "off topic" but bare with me. So I understand the theme is not allowed on here even if its tastefull. So I am asking where are the boundries? If I was to post a photo of my girlfriend which is in no way nude but suggestive of being nude or provocative... will that not be allowed or banned? I understand there are children on here but shouldnt the parents be monitoring what they do on this site or how about this... if they have access to a computer then you have access to nude images and what not. I find this a little confusing am I just the only one?

You know, I've never understood why parents would have a problem with their kids seeing nudity after a certain age. Really, if a kid hasn't seen a picture of someone naked by the time they are 18, then there was something weird going on.

I like to think I'm turning out good, and I've seen my fair share of those kinds of pictures.

Ummm, you wrote, "bare with me"...are you suggesting that we all "get naked with you?"

The internet is not a place that must be dumbed down and sanitized for children. If it were, then ALL we would see would be Barney and Thomas The Train and Rugrats.

TPF allows members 13 years old and up. Consequently there are limits on the type of photos that can be posted for general viewing.

The NSFW/Nude Photos forum was only recently re-instated at the request of members. However as Charlie points out, that forum can only be accessed by TPF Supporting Members.

Implied nudes, and/or provocative photos are judged on a photo by photo basis. If you are in doubt, contact a moderator for an opinion by PM before posting the photo.

There is a difference between nudes as art and nudes as porn.
It's a shame that typically all nudes are labeled as bad or wrong.

I tried to jump start the nudes section. It's dead and complete with tumbleweeds. I will not be renewing my supporting membership (especially since admin can't take the time to fix things like the "go to last unread post" function).

lol yes Darrel thats exactly what I mean. keep tuned as I will be contacting a moderator later today and if it seem like its all good i will post some pics up for some c&c

Anyone with a purple name is site staff - under their name will be a part which states what role - eg site moderator or admin.

As for the line between porn and nudity, whilst outright porn is very easy to draw a line around the line between the two is very hard to put into firm words and, in the end, it will come down to the mods/admin judging what they think is best.

In general we won't ban you for posting nudity on the site, we will move specific threads into the Nudes section if they require it (if you're a supporting member otherwise we just hide the thread from all view).

I take back my previous statement. Today I saw this picture of a lady and she had no clothes and her BITS were showing and it was gross and my eyes hurt and now I might not go to the college I want or succeed in life.
