Cute pictures! The first one could be amazing if you use rule of thirds. What a handsome young man!

on both the skin is just horrifically blown out. hes a very cute kid but the skin tones are killing the pictures for me. if you look in the first one around his eyes and nose have a yellow tinge and well the second one its his entire face.

How is the skin blown in the first one?

perhaps blown out was the wrong term, the tones are off. look at his face, some parts of it are yellow

Blown is the incorrect term, if it was blown all the detail would be gone in areas, not the wrong tones.
