I though this was an interesting read so I posted up the link. Basically discussing the premise that the "Mid Tier" bodies now are more than enough for virtually 98% of the users, rather than the earlier years where maybe it justified having the flagship model.

This is an interesting article. I can say that I use my z9 for sports and some wildlife. I use my z8 and z6iii for my portraits and general shooting. It depends what I am shooting and that helps me choose the body. But the buffer if I do nto write to both cards on the z8 is similar to the z9 if I do shoot to both cards as backup then the z9 is much better. I think the next step for many will be MF but that is even a smaller group than the flagship bodies. I have had a flagship since the d4 and have not regretted it but I do see that I use the z8 and z6iii more than the z9 but when I want to shoot something that it excels at then I am glad i have it. I am thinking the leaf shutter of the new Hassy is interesting now that they have focus working better
