Out for my walk on December 1st and thinking about the coming holidays and I came across a nice holly hanging over a neighbor's fence. Unfortunately no ivy, but I did find this shrub with furry leaves. My resident expert can't make an ID since I didn't get enough detail, but thinks it may be in the hydrangea family. I just think it's weird and slightly disturbing as critters are supposed to have fur, not plants. Furry plants are like fruit flavored beer; a violation of the natural order.
