just really messing around with the last 2.

I like them, they are solid for a beginner. Most of these can benefit from some simple photoshop, however.

I particularly like number 1, because I like how the rope gradually fades away.

Keep shooting, the only other advice I can give you is to shoot more interesting subjects. (pets, cars, anything that can interest the viewers)

Not bad for starters...keep up the creativity and looking at things from different perspectives than you normally would. What camera did you use?

thanks. Today was really the first day i could get out and take a good amount of shots. Havent really had a chance to get any exciting subjects yet, but im going to the paintball field this weekend, hopefully i can get some good shots there.

edit- Im using a canon rebel with a sigma 28-70mm

Heya Mcsteller, welcome to ThePhotoForum! :D
You are only just starting out?
Well-well-well! Looks good. You have a creative eye, no doubt! :D

The rope picture VASTLY improved through your converting it into a black and white photo in Photoshop! I like the new version heaps better! The texture of the part in focus shows ever so much more clearly in b&w!
