The Plain Chachalaca

We've been hearing these since we arrived. We spent a good chunk of time having no idea just what we were hearing. They often hang out in groups and the group will start calling out only to be answered by another group off in the distance. This "inspires" other groups to start calling and it can sound like a simultaneous battle of the bands. Sometimes they sound like donkeys braying to me.
