The Power of Mother Nature

What you see in this image is a nice expanse of white sand beach. What you don't see are the magnificent 25 foot high sand dunes and the roadway that once stood in this very spot. Hurricane Michael was a force to be reckoned with.

Yeah, I know it is a lousy hand held stitch but it's not about the photography, it's about the story.

Over the years I've learned that Mother Nature will do her best to erase the traces of man. We've thought many times about a condo along the coast, then a hurricane comes through and we think not.
