This book by James McConnachie and Robin Tudge is a good read of the history of conspiracy theories: from those that were ridiculous, to those with some validity, to those that may have been accurate.

The spin on current events and political incidents, as documented went from the extreme right to the extreme left.

Some of the more interesting comments from experts were that the "suicide" scene of Marilyn Monroe could not have looked more faked or staged. Pills for example were lined up neatly on the bed but there was NO pill residue in her body.

A political expert said that the reason the US and the UK accused Hussein of having weapons of mass destruction is because the US and the UK sold Sadam Hussein chemical weapons and some of the necessary ingredients to make nukes in ther first place.

No matter what your views, after reading this book, you will realize that there is NO simple, straightforward, explanation of any current event and you will probably distrust ALL governments and ALL politicians.
