Well, why do things like totally unspecial announcements, calls for refreshments and all this all happen when it is the middle of the night for us people here in Germany, and I am tucked up in my bed with a nice hot water bottle to sleep and sleep and sleep?

How could I notice - or not notice - what was being announced - or much rather: NOT being announced.
