I've heard that the flowing water, -dragged shutter shot is only as interesting as the scene itself. Would it look good without the action of the water? Is it a good scene to start with? Im on the fence, This was taken over a year ago, and I just got around to processing some of them. I think I need to go back. Anyway, its Muir Woods.

I like the first one, It makes me want to know whats beyond the trees in the background, so its definitely interesting.

2 is ok but not as "Interesting" to my eyes

I think #1 is one of the very finest landscape compositions I've seen in literally weeks. It's just wonderfully framed up! It has great movement. Just sublime.

The second one doesn't have the same level of exceptionalness.

I agree with this completely. That first one is BEAUTIFUL.

Number 1. my fav. Nice job.

Really digging the flow (no pun intended) of the first one. Nice work.

look good. You have improved a lot since page 7 of flickr

#1 is a well made photograph, but I would not call it interesting.

While #2 is technically well done, for me the composition is a bit weak and has even less interest than #1.
In #2 the stream is only apparent starting at the center of the frame. I think a higher camera perspective and having the stream first appear closer to the RoT eye line (top horizontal line) would have improved the composition.

Thanks for the comments :) I see all the points of #2 and I have also thought that a higher perspective for it would help. When i go back, I know what to look for. Yes, looking back, I think Ive made some real progress -thanks to this place, which keeps me sharp, and coming back for more :)
