They are some-kind of parking bays for boats, I don't really know the exact word in English for them. They attach the boats with them. Thanks for the good feedback paigew and Alane!

I like this a lot. Did you do the bw conversion youself or was it orignally shot in bw? Either way, I think it came out really well.

Thanks! I just made it BW in photoshop and added a little bit of contrast.

This is a beautiful shot, and the B&W conversion did it justice (although I'm not a fan of the vignetting you added, most visible in the top corners).

It says that you're OK with others editing your images so I'm taking the liberty of suggesting a re-crop (I hope you don't mind):

I think that the sky was not really adding anything, so I cropped a bit of it. As a result, the subjects in the foreground are highlighted. I also did crop a bit off the left-hand side (only because after cropping the sky the resulting aspect ratio was not working for me). Finally, when I was getting ready to save I decided to darken the top of the image a tad, to highlight the foreground even more.

Just my personal view of your beautiful image.

Great shot and nice conversion. Although I would consider a bit of a localised contrast boost to the buildings in the background to balance out the dark boat at the front.
