Some of these were shot through a dirty window, so they aren't the best.
I was afraid it would fly away when I opened the window, but ultimately it didn't.

The food was tagged, on both feet, but it may just be a dove, or white pigeon.

Neat!

Shot 6 came out a real charm - sharp, contrasty and looking right at you!
Looks like it happened pretty close as well unless these are some strong crops/really long lens shots.

Were you shooting through a closed window at the time (some seem to have that sort of "window" hazy sort of feel although it could be the camera you used or just the late hour at my end)

edit - you answered whilst I was typing! That answers the haze - and yes birds can sometimes respond to opening windows or not; sometimes they'll ignore things and other times they'll beat a fast retreat.

Wow! These are really neat! Thanks for sharing! How much time did you have to shoot it?

I like the hawkish glare you were given in some of these! It's a cruel world out there in the mean skies.

I'd say it was 15-20 feet away. Yes these are cropped, shot at 400mm.

Sorry I posted so many, but I don't know what you bird girls/guys like to see.

Jazzie, I had as much time as I needed. LOL.
It kept eating lunch, while I went back to work.
I took about 100 images. Most all look the same.
I figured that was enough.

I like number six. Seems to be pretty sharp, at least on my tab. Love that stare.

I've been experimenting, and trying to switch over to CaptureOne software.
#6 is the only one processed in CaptureOne.
The rest, were done in Lightroom.

Ok my, those are great shots of a Peregrine falcon, the worlds fastest animal. Sweet. I saw shots of one nab a Avocet in one frame and next frame it was beheaded.

Turns out you know exactly what we like to see. Very nice series. Thanks for sharing.

#6 is my fav by far. All are great shots though. How cool. :)

#6 is awesome, what is the band around the leg of dinner?

That is awesome you were gifted with such an occurrence and at a time you were able to get some nice shots. Thank you for sharing these with us David.
